Quite complex and in constant motion. Invisible forces are at work everywhere. Hardly anyone understands exactly what is going on, but in the end it works: A mechanical clockwork can be compared quite well with the dynamics of city life. So it's no wonder that Lilienthal Berlin thought it only natural to pack the mechanics of the metropolis into a watch. The result: the “Zeitgeist”. This is a logical further development of the first, already very successful and multiple award-winning quartz watch from Lilienthal Berlin, the L1.
Some design elements such as the Berlin typographies on the dial, the crown in the shape of the world time clock and the seconds hand in "Serenity Blue" were retained. And of course the “Zeitgeist” is also sustainably produced in Germany. However, the heart of the “Zeitgeist” comes from Switzerland. It is powered by the mechanical Swiss Made caliber SW200 from Sellita with automatic winding. The movement has a power reserve of 38 hours and is extremely accurate – making it both precise and easy to care for.
26 jewels, i.e. bearings made of precious stones, ensure that the fine mechanics keep moving smoothly. And the rotor was specially refined for the “Zeitgeist”: it is coated with ruthenium, a metal from the platinum family, in a galvanic process, giving it a striking, black-anthracite-colored finish. So that you can see this effort, Lilienthal Berlin has given the watch a glass base. In this way, the work can be quietly observed at work! Speaking of glass: the cover glass of the "Zeitgeist" consists entirely of sapphire glass. This extremely durable material and, of course, the 42.5 millimeter and 10 millimeter slim case made of 316L stainless steel keep the filigree inner workings of the watch protected under all circumstances.
The "Zeitgeist" is available in a version with a silver-colored case and silver galvanized dial and in a version with a black IP Gunmetal finish on the case and an anthracite-black galvanized dial. The minute and hour hands are coated with Superluminova to ensure legibility under all circumstances. As is typical for Lilienthal Berlin, the quietly creeping second hand remains in “Serenity Blue”. And so that you not only know the time at all times, but also the day at the same time, the watch was also given a date display. You can't be fooled!
For the necessary variety, the straps of the "Zeitgeist" can be easily exchanged. Each of the 23 leather and fabric straps from the Lilienthal Berlin range fits the "Zeitgeist". Because the bands are equipped with an easy-to-use changing mechanism, it only takes a few seconds to change the band.
